Outcomes

be able to identify potential hazards in many different types of scenarios /situations, and to observe and respond appropriately to other road users they encounter on the road;

have a heightened awareness of road rules and of how they apply to heavy vehicle drivers;

be aware of significant vehicle components and their functions;

be aware of, and able to apply safe trailer coupling and uncoupling techniques; safe loading and unloading techniques; and safe heavy vehicle manoeuvring techniques; and

be aware of fatigue symptons and causes and be able to apply fatigue avoidance actions.
